Non-Horse Owner Fun Days! 

Experience the Magic...

Attention all young horse enthusiasts and beginners! A

Our Non-Horse Owner Fun Days, are 10am to 3pm. 

Where children with any level of experience are welcome to come and experience having a pony or horse for a day! The horses are allocated in accordance with each riders height/ weight and any previous experience. These days are aimed at beginners but can be adapted to challenge riders with a bit more experience within reason (as the lessons are in groups)

What to expect:

• Parents are welcome to stay or leave or doa mixture of both. Tea and coffee is available for those wh would like to stay and extra lunches can be provided at an additional $7 each,

• After waivers are signed we start with an introduction, explaining what to expect then we fit helmets and boots to our little riders (included in price). If you have smooth soled boots with a heel- please bring with you, or some extra pairs of socks as on a rare occasion we have multiple children needing the same pair!

• After the children are in their helmets and boots, they will go catch their ponies. Everyone will be taught how to lead the horses safely and bring them in, feed them haybags and start to groom and prepare them for the first lesson.

• Morning tea for a little rest and toilet break.

• Riding Lessons. We have at minimum 4 children and maximum 8. Riders are paired and one will lead the pony while the other rides. Helping our riders as they learn the foundation riding principles of stop, turn and go! Riders switch after 45 minutes. 

• Ponies are put in their yards for a lunch break and drink while our little ones come up for lunch,

• After lunch the riders will build their own obstacle course and use their new skills to overcome the challenges they build for themselves. Every group creates their own new and exciting course using the poles, mats, yoga ball and potties.

• After our riders have conquered their obstacle course, horses are unsaddled and taken back to the paddock before going home.  

• Riding Experiences: No matter your level of expertise, our riding activities are adapted to suit the rider's abilitie as much as safely possible in the group environment.
